The fund, an initiative of the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan, has awarded $2.8 million in grants to help people with criminal convictions get jobs and start new lives, WXYZ reports.
"We hope this significant round of grantmaking demonstrates our commitment to these organizations and the work they're doing," says Richard DeCass, president of the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan.
